- Alana Mediavilla with "Dirty Coin" is a documentary that examines bitcoin mining, and its increasing demand for large amounts of power. The film separates fact, from factoids and provides a window into what bitcoin mining is and how it is sparking an energy revolution around the world.
Through the mix of animated scenes and live interviews with industry experts, the film delves into the complexities of the issue and presents what is currently going on in the Bitcoin mining industry.
- We will have 5-6 start up presentations. We will update this event page as the other start ups are confirmed.
- The format will be 10 minute presentations with 5 minute Q&A
Investors Panel:
- Theodore Agranat - Since 1998, Theodore has founded various IT and technology startups. In 2012 Theodore started working on crypto related ventures and fell in love with the industry, following the evolution of this space very closely. Most recently Theodore co-founded AlphaCrypto Capital, a firm focused on investing into and advising early stage blockchain projects.
- Jamie Shiller - is Managing Partner at WealthUnion, a venture capital firm specializing in blockchain-related investments. Before founding WealthUnion in 2020, Jamie was a long-time angel investor. He spent most of his career in marketing and business development roles at Silicon Valley startup companies.
Jamie is a network builder who maintains relationships with a vast range of VCs, investors, and companies in the traditional and blockchain investing worlds.
More than just a VC, WealthUnion's venture studio incubates, funds, and provides software development resources for new businesses that WealthUnion takes an active role in starting and managing.
- The panelists will be asking questions to the start ups after their pitches, think shark tank style
- After the pitches we will have a 30 minute panel with the investors about the state of the market, trends and investing strategy.
